Physician
Candidates will have completed accredited training in orthopedics with additional fellowship training. Should have an outstanding clinical and academic track record and interested in the education of residents and fellows. Supervision of residents is a major duty of this position. Selection will be made based on experience, leadership and skills. The candidate selected will be eligible for appointment at the Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor at HMS or BU. Must be a US citizen, possess American Board Certification in orthopedics, hold a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the U.S., or District of Columbia. Evaluation of physical, cognitive and emotional fitness of candidates for appointment in VA is required prior to appointment. Candidates must be capable of interactions with patients and health care personnel in a caring and professional manner. The candidate must be able to tolerate physically taxing workloads, to function effectively under stress, to adapt to changing environments, and to display flexibility. Reference:
